The Divine Church of God in New York was birthed on the first Sunday in June of 2008. A group of dedicated Christians gathered under a tree for the first time and declared that we were going to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and established the New York Branch of the Divine Church of God. This was after several meetings and consultations with the Assistant Overseer of the Divine Church of God Kingston branch. Thus we became part of a body of churches with headquarters in Kingston Jamaica. After several weeks of home based meetings we were eventually set up at our current address of 697 East 219th Street in the Bronx, NY. We have weathered the storm of opposition and growing pains to celebrate our first year of existence. We would like to publicly declare that had it not been for the Lord we would not be here today. We intend to continue to establish a firm foundation for our successors who will carry the banner of the Divine Church of God to the utmost for His highest.
